Desire does not have to be quelched. Desire is the driving force of Life itself; it is just that it needs to be considered in a different way, a way that is not separate or illusory.
Suffering is the forgetting of who we really are.
And who are we… really?
Happiness is an inside job, a continual evolution of being happier. Your Universal Self is already happy; your Earth Self just needs to get into alignment with the happiness and well-being that already exists.
These days my mornings include A Daily Dose of Sanity – Also by Alan – and a A Course of Miracles, a book that I’m not sure how I managed to put off reading until now, given it’s THE go-to guide for divine remembering.
Why are Affirmations useful? Because your thoughts create your reality. About 60,000 thoughts flow through our minds every day, and the majority of them are ‘negative’ thoughts that don’t align with who we truly are – divine spirit, infinite love, energy – and these untrue thoughts don’t make us feel good.
So, the game is to re-program your mind and to return to your divine power while still in this skin suit. Either way, you return to divinity when you die, so no pressure!
